Design Philosophy
"You can go anywhere to buy furniture. But, I would hope you want something more for yourself, your family, and your room. Allow me to understand the feeling you are trying to create for your room and how your family will use it. Tell me your dream for your space and let me show you how to make it come true. Whether you need one piece or a whole home, I can help you realize your vision. Let my 20 years of furniture and design experience make your shopping experience a delight!"

Biography
Kim's diverse experiences in design make her a well rounded designer with special interests in areas like historical preservation. She has worked in the professional design field for over 15 years mostly in the Washington DC area. Having recently relocated to the Central Pennsylvania area to be closer to her extended family, she joined the Davids design staff bringing her years of experience with retailers like Storehouse Furniture, Benjamin Moore paints, and Thomasville along with her experiences as an independent designer. She has a tremendous eye for color and a strong working knowledge of floor and window coverings. With her warm personality and sense of humor, she has established many enduring relationships with clients and looks forward to building the same connections here in the Central Pennsylvania areas.
Design Philosophy
"Every room has the potential for total transformation. All it takes is catching a spark of inspiration and holding onto it for dear life until the transformation is complete. My goal is to help my clients find the sparks that mean the most to them, turn the sparks into ideas, then turn the ideas into a complete vision for the room. Their room, not mine. They say in life that it's not the destination but the journey that matters. In design, they both matter. But the journey is still the more fulfilling. The design process is indeed a voyage of discovery and a learning experience for client and designer alike. I take true joy in sharing that experience with people and in traveling with them toward a transformed space that enhances their lives and lifts their spirits."

Biography
Laurie hails from the Washington DC area where she ran her own design business called "Design for Life" and completed projects from New York City to Hilton Head and where she was also co-owner/developer of "Little River Crossing, LLC" a developer of an environmentally responsible "Aging in Place" concept community. While she is new to our design team, she is not new to the world of design. Laurie has a degree in Interior Design from the York Academy of Art. She also studied Sustainable Community Development at the University of Massachusetts where she received the Foster Furcolo Scholarship Award. Laurie believes that the home is a sacred place: it is the homeowner's public face and private sanctuary. Many clients are unsure of their 'style.' She has the experience and knowledge to narrow the field of endless possibilities to choices that reflect the client's tastes, lifestyle, and budget.
Design Philosophy
"My personal philosophy is that true luxury is comfort and a room should look like it evolved, even if everything is newly purchased. Beyond the bounds of good design (color, scale, and balance), I prefer a room that has a timeless quality. Typically, that means a few antique (or reproduction) wood pieces and accessories, but also one quirky piece that has special meaning to the homeowner. The goal is to have all senses appropriately satisfied, as defined by the rooms' purpose and owner's wishes."
